FILM

A young sculptor questions his feelings for the beautiful model posing for him: is he in love with the real woman, or is it a passion for a source of inspiration? Is she merely a form, an image that stirs his imagination, a mechanism of artistic creation, or are these the genuine feelings of a man for a woman? The legend of the ancient sculptor Pygmalion comes to mind… The young sculptor concludes that an artist is spiritually always alone, and that his life gains meaning only in the moment of creation.

A young sculptor questions his feelings for the beautiful model posing for him: is he in love with the woman herself, or captivated by her as a source of inspiration? Is she merely a form, an image that stirs his imagination and sets the creative process in motion? Or are these the genuine feelings of a man for a woman? The legend of the ancient sculptor Pygmalion resurfaces in his mind…
“The young sculptor comes to believe that an artist is always alone in spirit, and that his life finds meaning only in the moment of creation.”
